What Causes Concussion?
Concussions are caused by direct trauma to the head, such as falling, getting hit, or being in an accident, and even sports injuries, assault, or other direct injury to the skull. Sometimes, several mild injuries can build up, resulting in more damage than unimagined. A significant movement in the brain can make a person lose alertness. Sometimes, a person may not pass out but may describe seeing all black, white, etc. Some physical signs and symptoms may be headache, ringing in the ears, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, confusion, dizziness, blurry vision, etc.
Our Approach
We thoroughly examine the patient, including medical history, signs or symptoms, and other details about the injury, such as the cause and how it occurred. We may perform neurological, cognitive, and imaging tests to check your overall health. As part of the process, we also question the patient’s ability to pay attention, recall, learn, or solve problems. After a thorough examination, a practical course of treatment comprising pain management techniques is performed for the patient’s overall well-being. For each patient, we create a personalized treatment plan to help them find relief and return to daily activities.
